Letters written to 34 academies since September 2011.
Seven of these were run by the Academies Enterprise Trust (AET)
Two academies received further warnings in June in June 2012.
The Guardian said: "Warning notices have been sent to two academies: St Aldhelm's academy, in Poole, run by the Diocese of Salisbury; and Basildon Upper academy in Essex, run by the Stanton Lane Trust. Both received notices in June last year."
